What is my billing cycle?

As an ikeja Prime account user you will be able to connect from the 1st day of the month or from the day you get installed until the last day of the month. Payment needs to be made before the 1st of each month; this is the cut off date for your monthly payment. Should you get installed while the month is already in progress, we will apply a pro-rata amount to your first payment.

What does this mean? 😐

Pro-rata means that when we charge your first month’s payment, we take into account the date that we installed the equipment and you started enjoying ikeja’s internet. So, for example if we install your wifi on the 20th of the month and you have already paid your first monthly fee – at the end of the month, for the next month we will carry over an amount equivalent to the unused days from the previous month. You will ultimately pay an amount less the days you didn’t have internet for.

Our finance team calculates it like this: R500 – (days left in the month ÷ by total days of the month x R500). For example, if there were 10 days left in a certain month we would calculate the pro rata fee as follows:

(10/30)*500 = R167
R500 – R167 = R333

Which means the balance applied to this particular account is R333.

What happens if I pay after the 1st of the month?

You will need to make payment before the 7th of the month that you are paying for. In other words, you have up until the 7th of the month to settle your account. If you can’t make payment within the 7 days, you will need to let us know by contacting our support lines.

What happens if my account is in arrears?

When you skip a month without paying and it is your first time doing so, we will be more understanding and will open your account upon payment for the current month. If you have missed more than one month payment your account will be handed over to our collections team and we will require a reconnection fee of R250 to reactivate your account or we will uninstall the equipment.
