Once your signup is successful and your wifi has been installed, you will make a monthly payment for your account with us.
This payment is due at the end of every month, before the 1st of the new month. Your first payment is charged on a pro-rata basis.
What does this mean? π
Pro-rata means that when we charge your first monthβs payment, we take into account the date that we installed the equipment and you started enjoying ikejaβs internet. So, for example if we install your wifi on the 20th of the month and you have already paid your first monthly fee – at the end of the month, for the next month we will carry over an amount equivalent to the unused days from the previous month. You will ultimately pay an amount less the days you didn’t have internet for.
Our finance team calculates it like this: R500 – (days left in the month Γ· by total days of the month x R500). For example, if there were 10 days left in a certain month we would calculate the pro-rata fee as follows:
(10/30)*500 = R167
R500 – R167 = R333
Which means the balance applied to this particular account is R333.
